Do you want to know 1 simple thing that you can start doing today that will make a huge difference to your child's sleep and fill you with knowledge?
In this crazy busy world of ours we are all looking for the quickest, easiest way to make things work.
Look, I get it.
You are constantly on the go. Some might be juggling a little one or two, a job, a home, dinner, friends, grocery shopping, cleaning, paying bills, baby socials, etc.
I'm exhausted just typing this up!
We don't want to be bogged down with even more things to add to our 'To Do' list.
But sometimes one little thing you do will make a huge difference. Sometimes that one little thing can change everything. I am certain that the one little thing I'm about to reveal to you is one of those things.
Curious?
I won't keep you in suspense any longer.
Read on.
I am making light of things, but I really do have something that will help you with your little one. I ask many of my clients to do this when we need to clarify things. The number of AHA moments we get from doing this is amazing. I then look deeper and find more information to help them, but they also make huge discoveries on their own.
So, what am I on about?
Well, the simplest, most beneficial thing you can do for your child is to fill in my Daily Clarity Tracker. This is unlike other trackers as it goes in deep and allows you to monitor and track sleep, feeds, nappies and moods (amongst other things) on a daily and weekly basis. This in-depth tracking allows you to see patterns and make connections that often get missed in the busyness of our lives.
I do want to clarify that I am not advocating tracking our children for ever more. This tracker is useful to give you clarity about your child and any challenges you might be facing, or for a new mum who still needs to get familiar with her baby's needs and routines. I suggest using the tracker every few months as a clarity check and whenever there is a challenge brewing. No one wants to fill in pages and pages of tracker just for the sake of it (unless you really, really enjoy it!). However, using a 24-hour tracker in the short term is an eye-opening exercise. It will prove very useful indeed.
By going in deep and tracking for a few days we will begin to see more clearly what our little ones need. We will soon get a clear picture of what is going on and what needs to be addressed.
Another benefit is that you will see if and when things change. This allows you to look at circumstances around the change to know what has caused it. Change can also be good and so knowing what worked is hugely beneficial so you can do it again!
And yet another plus is that you can see what schedule and routine will fit naturally into your little one's rhythms.
PLUS, the tracker can be extremely helpful in answering any questions at doctor's appointments, especially when your sleep deprived brain can't remember anything!
I have made this tracker from newborns onwards, ie lots of space for all the extra tracking a newborn requires. That does not mean it is not useful for older babies and children too. I have found that often it's the parents of the older child that get the most out of the tracker and they have always been the most surprised about what the tracker has revealed. For parents of older children, just select the pages you need and only print them, ie you won't need to track 9 nappy changes for example! Parents of newborns love it because it helps them keep things straight in their heads until they form a routine with their baby.
